Mrs. Golda L. Stephens, 63, Mellott, died Friday night at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she was a patient 5 weeks. Funeral services were held at 2 pm. Monday at North Congregational Church, Mellott. The Rev. Guy Walters officiated with the Fishero Funeral Home in charge of burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Mrs. Stephens was born Nov 23, 1884, near Frankfort, Ind the daughter of Grant and Ida Pyatt Wakeland. She married July 23, 1904, to Clyde Stephens who died three weeks ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lowe, Veedersburg, two sons, Dallas, Mellott, and Alvin, Lombard; a sister, Mrs. Anna Erie, Crawfordsville; and four brothers, John Wakeland, Indianapolis; Joe Wakeland, Ft. Wayne; Harry Wakeland, Newport, Fla and Manson Wakeland, Linden, Ind --– transcribed by kbz
